The Paper Biz

What do you like most about Envelopments?
We have a great product line—including what I think is the best designer palette in the industry—it’s easy to be proud of what we offer. But it’s the people I work with and the philosophy that starts with our partners that make Envelopments special.
What are the main things you bring to your role?
I learned world-class customer service during a 15-year stint at Disney and their philosophies and methods have influenced me ever since. Luckily, that fits right in with what we believe here at Envelopments. Having been a retail operations leader helps me understand the challenges that our Dealers face and I can also use that perspective when thinking about ways to grow the brand. My experience helping organizations through change comes in handy here, too, because Envelopments is really at a great point in our history, filled with growth and change.
Are you becoming a Paper Person now?
I wouldn’t consider myself creative by any means, but I definitely have a better appreciation for what we do—and our Dealer/Designers do. My friends and family have also been “wowed” by our Christmas cards the last couple years. Envelopments makes me look good on paper.
What are you doing when you’re not at work?
Most of my time away from Envelopments is spent at the gym. No, not working out myself; I coach high school basketball. My true passion is working with and building a team to work through challenges to great achievement….sounds like my career, too. With our daughter in college and our son headed there in the fall, my wife and I are finding the transition to a new phase in our lives brings more time for each other—which is fun!
