2012 Wedding Collection Pt. 5
Over the past 5 weeks, we’ve released 60 brand spanking new Featured Recipes on Envelopments.com. With each release, we’ve focused on several emerging trends as well as elements we’ll continue to see throughout 2012: texture, elements of luxe, refined color palettes and hand-made invitations.
TEXTURE
With the addition of wood grain stocks like Chocolate Barque, White Barque, and Pecan Barque along with matte stocks like Chestnut, Noir, and Cobalt, we’ve touched on the movement toward textured cards, pockets and envelopes.
LUXE
Metallic Duplex stocks like Bullion/Ginger, Iced/Sugar and Lemongrass/Verbena align with the trend of luxurious stocks. New graphics in our Vintage Collection have a regal tone and add to the sense of luxury. Incorporate blind embossing to any design and you’ve added instant understated elegance.
COLOR
When Pantone released its color of the Year, Tangerine Tango, we were thrilled to know that our exclusive card stock, Pout, is the perfect match for this vibrant orange. With tone on tone colors, you can create an ombre effect with any color story. Another color trend is the resurgence of black and white ensembles. This versatile palette can go any direction if you choose to add drama with a splash of color.
HAND-DRAWN ILLUSTRATIONS
Using hand-drawn illustrations and typography creates a one-of-a-kind feeling for wedding invitations. Trellis, our newest pattern collection appeals to the trend of organic, hand-painted florals.
One staple that isn’t going anywhere is the play towards custom. Couples continue to strive to stand out in the mailbox and make a statement long before their wedding day. The first step of customization is working with one of our Dealer/Designers to create a unique look for your wedding. They’ll steer you in the right direction when selecting your individual combination of premium stocks and graphic design. You can choose from a variety of 250 colors and 90 shapes and sizes from our mix and match collection of cards, pockets and envelopes. Or take it a step further and design a suite featuring custom scoring, slitting, corner rounding or perforating.
