A lesson (or ten) in typography…

A lesson (or ten) in typography
When I was about twelve my uncle taught me a cool trick; showing me how to create my own letter forms and make illustrations just using type. We would use a plain number 10 envelope and cover the entire front of the envelope with various words that came to mind. Little did I realize back then that I would end up in the business of fonts and envelopes.

Another infatuation of mine is animation. So when Tom suggested I take a look at the blog post of New Evolution Designs showing a variety of kinetic typography videos, I was happily surprised. Each animation has its own style and uses typography in a unique way. I recommend that you start with the lesson on typography, then immerse yourself in the collection of animation shorts.
