This past weekend, we said our farewells to Ms. Maria Leal (our Customer Development, Service Supervisor) and welcomed Mrs. Maria Huerta into our Envelopments family. Since we’re so accustomed to designing for imaginary couples, there was added pressure to design a wedding ensemble for one of our own. Nervous and excited, we wanted to create pieces that would stand up to such a fantastic wedding.

Months ago, Maria asked the Envelopments Design Department to create the paper goods for her wedding. She informed us of her wedding colors and gave us free reign on the design. With a color story of Magnolia, Raw Silk Ecru-BRO73, Burnt Sugar, Raw Silk Ecru and Ecru Micah, we used a 6×9 Pocket Folds® enclosure to contain the ceremony invitation, reception information and response set. The bilingual couple needed two sets, one in English and another in Spanish. Maria described the tone of the event and we took an elegant approach in the design. We contrasted the romance of Burgues Script with the traditional serifs of De Soto and accented the ensemble with organic floral elements and dots.

Once the guests sent their responses, we were able to begin the supplemental pieces including the place cards, table numbers, dinner menus and favor containers. We pulled in more colors for the day of the event, incorporating additional tones of gold and pink. To thank everyone for attending the celebration, Maria filled an assortment of our Clutch favor containers with chocolates.

In a beautifully traditional Mexican wedding ceremony, complete with the sounds of “Mariachi Juvenil Tapatio,” Maria and Carlos exchanged wedding vows in front of family and friends. Her Envelopments family filled three rows and looked on with pride.

The reception was held at the Diamond Bar Center. We entered the room draped in vibrant fabrics; twinkling lights punctuated the ceiling and a custom monogram gobo light branded the feature wall. Twenty-four tables were dressed in gold and accessorized with Envelopments products. As the bride and groom entered, the guests waved their silk napkins in the air and welcomed the newlyweds. After a scrumptious meal, we enjoyed each other’s company over a sunset and continued to celebrate throughout the night. Some of us even took advantage of the photo booth.
Each and every one of us are truly honored to be a part of Maria and Carlos’ life as well as their special day. Enjoy your honeymoon Maria, we’ll try not to bother you with any work-related emails.

Congratulations Maria; wishing you both every happiness in the future! It looked like a really fun wedding, and very beautiful too; the hot pink and gold are lovely together.
What a stunning bride you were and I adored the ensemble the design department put together for you. Well done all!
The invites and the coordinated event stationery look absolutely fab. Any ideas where I can get the burgues script font? Being googling all day to find where to buy it without much joy!
Thanks for your kind words, Jacynthe Cards! We purchased both fonts from Veer.com (one of our favorite sources to add to our font library). We’ve updated the article to include links to each font. I’m sure you’ll loving playing with all the design potential of Burgues Script, it may have just taken over Bickham Script’s spot! Hmmmm… I may be in need of a FONTervention?!
thank you to envelopments and maria for sharing. everything was absolutely beautiful!
