Inspiration comes from many places. Sometimes from where we least expect it. I am a big fan of the TED talks and can count on being turned onto a new idea and motivated by incredible people, projects and concepts. My friends and I are always pointing out an interesting talk to each other. Rachelle recently pointed me to one about paper folding and origami with Robert Lang. I sat and watched with my jaw dropped the entire time.
Aside from the beautiful paper sculptures being presented, the inspiration taken from this age old art has stimulated new ways of thinking about the merging of science, mathematics, product development and the art of paper folding.
And that’s just the appetizer! There is an amazing film called “Between the Folds” which will blow your mind…take a look at the previews. You’ll want to see it…

This was amazing to watch. I’m afraid my origami skills are limited to cootie catchers! We made 80 of these “who will you kiss” cootie catcher for a wedding a couple weeks ago. The template came from Martha Stewart Wedding magazine. Link
